They were available in our shop just in time for Christmas 2009, and sold out quickly. These eight shiny and beautiful machines shown above graduated from our Service Academy, and included a 1947 scroll faceplate model, several Singer 100 Years of Service Centennial models, and one of the later “Art Deco” decal style machines. This work quickly spread to repairing customer machines, and refurbishing machines for sale in our quilt shop. In 2008 David began repairing and refurbishing our own Featherweights. Prized by quilters for their timeless and classic beauty, ruggedness, light weight, and beautiful stitching these machines are often seen at quilting retreats, guild events, classes, and at Sit-n-Sews.Īll of us at Quilters Connection own and sew on a Singer Featherweight, and so do many of our customers.
